He was on the Scientific Committee of the European Journal of Lymphology and Related Problems from 1990 to 1995. He belongs to the Scientific Council and Editorial Board of the Revista Portuguesa de Dano Corporal [Portuguese Journal of Bodily Injury] since 1991. He was Sub-Director of the Revista Portuguesa de Ortopedia [Portuguese Journal of Orthopedics] from 1992 to 1996 and Director of the same publication from 1997 to 1999.
Integrou a Comissão Científica do European Journal of Lymphology and Related Problems de 1990 a 1995.
Pertenceu ao Conselho Científico e ao Corpo Redactorial da Revista Portuguesa do Dano Corporal durante vários anos.
Sub-Director da Revista Portuguesa de Ortopedia de 1992 a 1996 e Director da referida publicação de 1997 a 1999.
